Parachuting into the Nene

We had gone out for a parachuting experience. I was second out the door after my best friend Winston. However, his parachute failed on descent. As he fell towards the ground and certain doom I managed to catch up with him and hold onto his harness. We were too heavy or my parachute so a ground landing would have caused us real injury. I decided to go for a water landing straight onto the Nene. The river saved us from serious injury until we were flung down a sluice at high speed where I lost consciousness. Winston kept me afloat, saving my life as I had saved his. We came to rest on an area of low bank where we managed to get ashore.

My favourite part of the Nene is Barnwell - I go fishing there all the time. It gives me plenty of time to dream up stories like this!
