We both grew up around the Peterborough area and have a narrow boat which was moored on the Nene we have enjoyed spending lots of happy times on and alongside the river. This photograph is at Wadenhoe lock. The area of the Nene that we play have spent most of our time is from Peterborough to Wadenhoe.
We moored at Ferry meadows where we were supposed to meet our parents who were bringing a casserole for our lunch. We had gone to the pub and missed them and they put the casserole on the wrong boat. We managed to chase the boat down and have our dinner in the evening. We really enjoy spending time with the family pootling between Oundle and Wadenhoe for Sunday lunches.
Our favourite part of the Nene is Lilford and Wadenhoe which is beautiful and mystical.
