I am contributing a few photos taken on some of my walks along the Nene. At the moment my favourite part of the river is along the embankment in Peterborough, as it's easy for me to walk to - with lots to see to photograph or draw.

This pic was taken near the Stanground Lock, on one of my morning walks. I love the fact that you can see the Cathedral from across that part of Stanground.
This picture, taken recently, August 2018 as part of my study for a collection of drawings. The town Bridge and Custom House, across from the Fletton Quays development, a juxtaposition of the new and old.

When I first took this pic it made me smile just to see what was on the boat, but it just goes to show some of the character and life on the river.
