This photo was taken in Kislingbury, near  Northampton , just before we started the journey. (The smile here is one of nerves...!)
This was taken a couple of miles down the road in Beckets Park, with Environment Agency's  Northampton  Marina and the new University of  Northampton  campus in the background.
This is the 'Welcome to East  Northampton shire' sign in Rushden. I love that the river features on the council crest.
This photo shows one of the 'All Aboard for Rushden' signs that are dotted along the Greenway in Rushden. Using the 'All Aboard for Rushden' app on their smartphone or tablet, people can scan the images and find out more about some interesting characters in Rushden's history and win a reward if they find all of them.
This picture looks across the river and lakes to Irthlingborough. The blackberries were delicious!
A quick chat with the Nenescape Settlers of the Nene Valley project lead officers at Stanwick Lakes while volunteers work to put up the barn! Great timing!

A pause to recover from a short stretch of route along the A47. And where better than here on Nene Way in Sutton!
This picture was taken in Castor, on Loves Hill. It was a lie. It hurt a lot to cycle up that hill!
This was taken just outside Peterborough at Nene Park, by Milton Ferry Bridge. I was so relieved to see it as it meant we were almost on the home straight!
This picture was taken at the Dog in a Doublet pub and lock, where the river becomes tidal. It seemed a fitting point for us to have as our destination. After 8 and a half hours of riding and 105km in strong winds, we had made it almost the entire length of the Nenescape project in one day.
