Bike Ride from Northampton to Peterborough (Image 12)

This picture was taken at the Dog in a Doublet pub and lock, where the river becomes tidal. It seemed a fitting point for us to have as our destination. After 8 and a half hours of riding and 105km in strong winds, we had made it almost the entire length of the Nenescape project in one day.

This photo was taken in Kislingbury, near Northampton, just before we started the journey. (The smile here is one of nerves...!)
This was taken a couple of miles down the road in Beckets Park, with Environment Agency's Northampton Marina and the new University of Northampton campus in the background.

A quick chat with the Nenescape Settlers of the Nene Valley project lead officers at Stanwick Lakes while volunteers work to put up the barn! Great timing!

This was taken just outside  Peterborough  at Nene Park, by Milton Ferry Bridge. I was so relieved to see it as it meant we were almost on the home straight!
